Founded in 1981, History Associates Incorporated (HAI) provides professional historical research, writing and archival services to government agencies, private corporations, nonprofit organizations, and law firms around the world. The company employs more than 50 full time historians and archivists, along with a network of consultants based throughout the United States and Europe.  History Associates’ primary goal is to present history in an engaging and thought-provoking manner that measure up to the highest standards.

HAI has undertaken historical projects for the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force. Its museum experience includes research on behalf of the U.S. National Archives for a traveling exhibit documenting the United States’ role in World War II; museum exhibits for the Laborers International Union of North America; and a traveling exhibit about the Lewis & Clark expedition, commissioned by the National Park Service. In addition, the company has prepared outside signage and wayfaring exhibits for the Third Winchester Battlefield on behalf of the Civil War Preservation Trust, and projects for the American Military Cemetery in Normandy, France, and the National D-Day Museum in New Orleans.
