The American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial was selected as a recipient of the 2017 Veterans Community Award for its extraordinary quality of public service, exemplary advocacy efforts, and exceptional contribution and outstanding service to the veteran’s community.

The lending of courage

A commemorative book titled “The Lending of Courage” was published and added to the Memorial’s website for electronic viewing.

April 22, 2016

Disabled Veterans’ Life Memorial Foundation officially transferred the Memorial to the National Park Service for management, operation, maintenance, and preservation.
